NOTICE OF DISABLED REPRESENTATIVE
Legislation requires a disabled representative from the Nantucket community to serve on the NRTA Advisory Board. One representative of the disabled commuter population shall serve on the advisory board as a non-voting member for a 1-year term. This representative shall be mobility impaired or have a family member who is mobility impaired, be a caretaker of a person who is mobility impaired, or work for an organization that serves the needs of the physically disabled. The NRTA meets on an as needed basis, typically two to three times a year. Interest forms may be obtained and returned at the NRTA's Administrative Office, 20 R South Water Street or www.nrtawave.com. Forms must be returned no later than January 4, 2017 at 3:00 p.m. For further information please call the NRTA office (508) 325-9571.
NANTUCKET REGIONAL TRANSIT AUTHORITY
The Nantucket Regional Transit Authority (NRTA) invites qualified bidders to submit bids for the supply and delivery of ultra low sulfur diesel fuel. Bid documents may be obtained from and will be received at the NRTA office, 20 R South Water Street, Nantucket, MA 02554 or by calling the NRTA office at (508) 325-9571. Bids must be submitted in sealed envelopes clearly marked with the name of the bidder, item being bid, and date and time bid is due. Sealed bids will be received up until 3:00 p.m. on Friday, December 16, 2016, at which time bids will be publicly opened and read aloud. This invitation for bid is made in accordance with Federal and State procurement laws.
The NRTA reserves the right to reject any and all bids if it is in the best interest of the NRTA to do so. M/W/DBE firms are encouraged to respond. The data and input has been analyzed. Service scenarios, costs and potential funding sources are in development. The results of the year round transit study will be unveiled on April 13th.
