NRTA announces the Ride the WAVE contest winners!

During the period March 11 – 29, 2019 WAVE passengers had an opportunity to win $1,000 in prizes from local businesses. The contest asked people to ride the WAVE and complete a list of 9 tasks to be eligible to win. Two individuals missed one question each on the contest form and the winner was determined by random drawing. Paula Leary, Transit Administrator stated, “We are pleased to announce that Terry Norton is the grand prize winner, and a smaller package of prizes will also be presented to Benton Killion, the second individual who missed only one question.” Both individuals will be present to receive their prizes at the Select Board Meeting at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 10, 2019.

According to Jason Bridges, NRTA Board Chair, “The contest was designed to show appreciation to our loyal riders and to provide an incentive for new riders to experience the convenience of the WAVE’s year round service. “ He continued, “We are very pleased with the level of support the NRTA has consistently received from local businesses and appreciate all the excellent prizes that were provided for this contest.”
